Duck-Billed Platypus

The Duck-billed platypus is one of the interesting animals that I found in the encyclopedia of animals. I just found it so fascinating! I think it is the beak that draws me in. I saw one of these at a zoo that i've been to before and they are even more amazing close up! I am so glad that they are a least concert on the conservation status, meaning that their species is fine at the minute and they are not under threat. They are beautiful and need to be around for a very long time! I mean, they are a mammal that lays eggs, what more do I need to say! Heres to the Ornithorhynchidae family! That word is a mouth full! I don't think I can even pronounce it and i'm not going to try. I'd love to get up close to this egg-laying, duck-billed, beaver-tailed, otter-footed mammal and see how it really lives. I think schools should teach children more about animals! We live with them so we need to know about them, that's how I see it anyway. They especially need to know about the Duck-billed platypus! Everyone does! They are too cool to go unoticed!

P.S Long live the Platypus!
